How to Design: Game Schedule

Why the Game Schedule Page Matters

This page is one of the most important pages as it contains all the game time information. This may take the most amount of time depending on how many games your team plays. It is important to use the most updated schedule to ensure the information is accurate.

You will need to make sure you have the following information for each game:

  • Date

  • Home or Away

  • Opponent

  • Start Time

  • Special Notes (Homecoming, Senior Night, Spring Break etc.)

Design Tips for Your Schedule Page

While the game schedule page will contain a lot of important text based information you can still make it look visually appealing. Include a team photo or action photo with several players in the top ⅓ of the page. Beneath the photo, include a title that clearly states the schedule of the team, level and year (ex. Niskayuna Varsity Lacrosse Schedule 2025). In the bottom ⅔ of the page list out the games in columns or rows starting with home/away, opponent and game time. Be sure to bold the home games as those are the games most people can make.

Keep Your Schedule Updated

Worried that the schedule will change after the media guide has been printed? Include a QR Code that links to the team’s online updated schedule. Make a note near the bottom of the page that the schedule is subject to change and for the most up to date game information viewers may scan the QR code. With a digital media guide you can either update the PDF or copy and paste a clickable link to the updated website schedule.
